Cal, I listened to this today. It certainly was a blessing. I even jotted a few notes. Suffering is not punitive for believers, it's part of God's plan. I also liked the thought that no matter how much we suffer, our most serious need has already been met at the cross, this enables us to endure anything, for the glory of Christ. Just the opposite from the health, wealth, and prosperity teaching, isn't it?

Cal, I also listened and struggled to get through Matt's testimony. Very moving. By the look on his face, you can see his love for his family and his confidence in God - not fear, but remarkable peace. Thanks for sharing.

you are right Kathy, it is the opposite of the prosperity gospel and also much deeper and richer than anything the prosperity gospel could offer!
